How RideDoon uses information submitted through rental inquiries.
Marketplace accounts and rental records
Email verification enables private booking access across devices. Essential HttpOnly cookies hold an access session for up to one hour and a renewable session for up to 30 days. Sign out on shared devices. Your selected supplier receives your request and contact details only after your explicit consent. Assigned suppliers and authorized RideDoon staff can access the booking records needed to operate the rental. We retain offers, consent, pickup and return records, receipts, disputes and private condition photos for follow-up and accountability. Uploaded images are resized and location metadata is removed; do not upload identity documents. For a verified access, correction or deletion request, use the privacy issue option on your booking or contact hello@ridedoon.com. Retention and deletion requests are reviewed against outstanding rentals, disputes and applicable record obligations; signing out does not delete records.
Drafts and WhatsApp
Your enquiry draft, including contact details, is stored in this browser tab using session storage, and expires after 24 hours without an update. Use Clear draft on shared devices. Sending successfully removes the draft. Choosing to include the draft in WhatsApp transfers the displayed details to WhatsApp when you open that link. Your reference identifies the saved request; it does not confirm a reservation or grant access on its own. A separate essential browser cookie enables private request status access for up to 30 days after submission. Clear this website’s browser data when finished on a shared device. Cookie expiry does not delete the request record.
Information you provide
The rental inquiry form collects your name, phone number, preferred vehicle type and model, rental duration, pickup location, rental date, optional pickup and return times, route and provider preferences, and any notes you choose to provide. Please do not include identity document numbers, payment details or other sensitive information in the notes.
How your inquiry is used
Your inquiry is saved in a private database before we acknowledge receipt. A queued email notification alerts the RideDoon team so we can respond by phone or WhatsApp, check suitable rental options and coordinate pickup. Failed notifications can be retried without losing the saved request. We will confirm with you before sharing your contact details with a rental provider. Direct provider links take you to that provider, whose own privacy practices apply.
Service providers
The website uses Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights; automatic Google Analytics tracking is paused during the marketplace pilot. These tools help us understand website usage, performance and inquiry completion. Custom enquiry analytics record the page, action, outcome and public provider identifiers, without names, phone numbers, pickup locations, travel dates or notes. Private account, operations and booking URLs are excluded from analytics, and date query strings are removed. Request storage uses Supabase/PostgreSQL and inquiry notifications use an email service provider. Embedded Google Maps and links to WhatsApp or social platforms are subject to those services’ own privacy policies.
Your choices
You can ask RideDoon to stop contacting you about an inquiry, or request access, correction or deletion of information you have provided, by emailing hello@ridedoon.com. Include enough information to identify your inquiry, but do not send identity documents by default.
